My iMixes at iTunes
These lists are always shorter than the lists below, becuase they don't carry many of the songs I use, but you can find my iMixes and get them instantly, usually for $.99 per song. These require the
iTunes program to connect (but it's free).
Bolero
Night Club 2 Step
What I recommend from Amazon.com
If an album that you are interested in comes up as a generic ad for Amazon, just reload the page and the ad should move to another spot.
Generally, for a CD to go into a specific dance group, it should have more than one track that fits that dance type; albums with tracks for more than one dance type are in the "Mixed" group, and include CDs with, for example, a single Rumba, a single Samba, and 3 Foxtrots.

If you're only interested in buying one disc for Bolero, this is the one you want. There are five tracks that are so good I use them regularly when teaching. Some will find the tempo a bit on the slow side, but that's where I like them. Bolero: 5; Cha cha: 3 |

These are chock-full of Mambo, of a variety of tempi and styles (none modern, most of them excellent for dancing). Further, the liner notes provide a nice little history on the development of Mambo as a musical style, illustrating how a variety of styles all grew toward each other and became adopted by dancers as a single class of music. |
